I have been coming to Modesti's for 30+ years. I initially went there because my '78 Honda Civic was having problems and it was only 2 years old. I was impressed then and continue to be impressed with the remarkably personal care each customer and her/his car gets. I might add that Modesti's kept my '78 Civic running until it had 315,000 miles on it. I drove it from Culver City to Pasadena 5 days a week for 21 years. It was still running when I sold it to a Modesti's customer and it is still running today. Whatever they say needs to be done is what you ought to do. They are honest and don't try to sell you things you don't need. I recommend them to everyone I know. If anyone has a different opinion, I would like to talk with them, because the issue is with them, not with Modesti's. You can't do any better than to take your car here. Period.

Having just moved back to California from Austin and coming from I believe to be the best Lexus dealer around, I had a tough time choosing a place to take my car in for service. After some research and referrals, the consensus was Modesti's. This was just an oil change/check up service that I needed. When I arrived, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. My car was finished within the time frame they told me and they had a first time visit coupon (I love coupons!). I am very pleased with the service. The ONLY thing I was a bit disappointed in was when I picked up my car, they told me of a few things they recommend I needed done, one of which was $17. Typically in the past I have always had a service place call me to tell me so I had the option of them doing it then. In this situation, I would have definitely had them do that then instead of bringing it in again. Time is valuable.

As always, when I call or walk in, I am greeted with courtesy and respect. My concerns about my older vehicle were addressed and clearly explained to me. I always leave understanding what was done and what further needs to be done. I never feel coaxed to buy or pay for unnecessary parts or service.
